Brick Bolster

A brick bolster is a specialized chisel designed for working with brick and masonry materials. There are two main types of brick bolsters:

1. Brick Bolster Chisel:

• Function: Primarily used for splitting bricks, rather than clean cutting through them. The wide, blunt blade applies force to induce cracks along the brick’s natural lines.

• Features:

  • Octagonal Steel Shaft: Provides a strong and stable grip for hammering.
  • Blunt, Wedge-Shaped Blade: Designed for fracturing bricks, not for precise cutting. The wide blade can also be used for cleaning surfaces of mortar or other debris.
  • Variations: May come in different sizes to accommodate the width of various bricks.
